Wendy grew up on a rural property in North West New South Wales, where she developed a strong sense of community, resilience, and a genuine commitment to helping others. Her professional career spans more than 20 years in finance and leadership, with experience ranging from business ownership to managing both small teams and large departments.
Throughout her life and career, Wendy has gained extensive exposure to a wide range of disabilities through both lived experience and her professional roles. She has worked closely with individuals living with dementia, mental health, ASD, ADHD, hearing and visual impaired developing a deep understanding of the challenges faced by participants and their families, while advocating for person-centred support and meaningful outcomes.
Wendy is particularly passionate about supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities. She is driven by a desire to be a strong voice for those who may struggle to have their needs heard, empowering participants to navigate their journey with confidence and achieve their personal goals. Her compassionate approach, combined with her leadership experience and practical knowledge, allows her to build trusted relationships and deliver support that is both professional and genuinely caring.
