Leah Poole

Finance Officer

With over 15 years of experience across NDIS and Aged Care, Leah brings both heart and expertise to everything she does. Her career spans from Host Home Provider through to Dementia and Alzheimer’s-focused nursing, giving her a well-rounded understanding of complex care and the importance of truly person-centred support.

Today, Leah works as a SCHADS Payroll Specialist, where she applies her deep industry knowledge to the operational backbone of care services. With extensive expertise in the SCHADS Award, NDIS funding structures, and compliance frameworks, she ensures payroll accuracy, award interpretation, and invoicing integrity - supporting both frontline teams and organisational sustainability. Her hands-on care background gives her a unique lens in payroll and finance, understanding that behind every line item is a real worker and a real participant.

Driven by her personal motto, *“See a need, fill a need,”* Leah previously founded and led a non-profit organisation in the United States dedicated to improving healthcare access for people experiencing homelessness. This work reflects her deep commitment to advocacy, dignity, and practical solutions that create real impact.

Leah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, which informs her strong understanding of systems, safeguarding, and the broader social factors that shape people’s lives.

Outside of work, she’s a proud mum to two wonderful sons and feels most at home by the ocean. When she’s not supporting her community, you’ll likely find her knitting, singing, or enjoying game night with her boys.
