What kind of help and care does an Alya Support Worker provide?

Unlimited access to our support worker talent pools at no cost and able to change support workers anytime. But Alya doesn’t stop there… Sifting through profiles and selecting the right person can be hard and time consuming. We have industry experts to help you through the process to ensure you get the very best fit.

Domestic assistance

Provide general help around the home including cleaning, laundry, shopping and meal preparation.

Personal care

Respectful and caring help with personal needs including assistance with medications, showering and dressing.

Yard maintenance

Keeping the gardens beautiful and the grounds around the home manicured and tidy.

Home handyman

Doing odd jobs and minor repairs in and around the home.

Home administration

Help Members organise and plan everyday activities including making appointments, general administration and using technology.

Companionship

Keeping people company through friendships, interests and sharing activities.

 

Our Support Worker Assessment Process

Step 1

All applications are reviewed by our Participant Support Officer based on the needs of our Participants. We have a base level of requirements, however at Alya we focus on the soft skills our participants are looking for and then search for them in our Support Worker applications. This will usually happen within a week from sending us your application.

Step 2

Short-listed applicants are then interviewed by our Participant Support Officer. This behavioural interview is designed to find out more information about each applicant’s knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the participants needs.

Step 3

If you’re the preferred applicant we’ll contact your referees, including your most recent supervisor or manager. We may also conduct a range of checks such as a Federal Police Check.

Step 4

Successful applicants will then be notified about the good news – You are now on the Alya Team. We will prepare your Alya onboarding and start to organise your PPE and any equipment you may need.
